Looked great in app store - terrible in practice!!!!
I bought this because I was looking for a PDF manager/viewer that would let me manage a large number of PDFs on dropbox or iCloud along with viewing, annotating and most importantly, setting the PDF password.
This utility barely does that. In fact, it really does not do anything that you cannot do with finder and preview. It’s a little clunkier with finder and preview but at least finder/preview are stable!
Major bug, it cannot easily open PDFs encrypted with AES 128 or 256 - it throws an error and when you try to open it with the manger, it blanks out the document!!!!!!!!
It can not do group functions at all i.e. set password for more than one file at a time (batch) - yes it was not listed but I was hopeful.
The manager view does not support select all but that does not matter because it does not support batch work.
You cannot set an open password independent from the owner password, in other words you have to set both at the same time. (maybe I do not understand PDF security!)
For conversion to Word - please keep in mind that your PDF document has to already have a Word like format (like created from Word in the first place) in order for the conversion to produce anything.
Also, crashes when I heavily annotate PDF, which is no problem for preview. I wish I saved my money. In fact, I think that all the positive reviews that I read are from friends and family of the developers!!!!!
Gosh - can I get my money back!!!!!!
